The hotel is situated in the heart of Eaglesham, Scotland''s first conservation village. Eaglesham was planned and built mainly in 1769, by Alexander Montgomerie, the 10th Earl of Eglinton. The village was planned in the shape of the letter "A", which happened to be the initial of his first name.
